Instructions to Authors

General Requirements

Journal of Hydroecological Systems, Fisheries and Sustainability publishes original research articles, reviews, short communications, case studies, and methodological papers related to hydroecology, fisheries science, aquatic ecosystems, and sustainable resource management.

Manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere.


Manuscript Preparation

Language: Submissions must be written in clear academic English.

Format: Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

Structure:

1. Title Page

2. Abstract (maximum 250 words)

3. Keywords (4 to 6)

4. Introduction

5. Materials and Methods

6. Results

7. Discussion

8. Conclusion

9. References

Include author affiliations and corresponding author email on the title page.


Formatting Guidelines

  • 12-point Times New Roman

  • Double spacing

  • Page numbers included

  • SI units must be used

  • Scientific names italicized


Tables and Figures

  • Tables must be editable

  • Figures must be high resolution, minimum 300 dpi

  • All tables and figures must be cited in the text


References

All references must be complete and formatted consistently according to the journal style. DOIs should be included where available.


Ethical Standards

Authors must ensure:

  • Originality of work

  • Proper citation of sources

  • Ethical approval where required

  • Disclosure of funding and conflicts of interest

Plagiarism and duplicate submissions are strictly prohibited.


Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors should complete all required metadata and upload necessary files.
